GAMING WITH A BABY - THE WITCHER 3, WILD HUNT

SINCE BECOMING A MUM I'VE RARELY HAD THE CHANCE TO SIT DOWN AND RELAX, BEFORE I FELL PREGNANT I USED TO PLAY XBOX AS MY DOWN TIME BETWEEN WORK AND REHEARSALS. ALTHOUGH NOW THAT I'M A MUM GAMING HAS PROVED RATHER DIFFICULT AS WHENEVER I SEEM TO GET THE CHANCE TO PLAY, I LOAD THE SCREEN AND CALEB SEEMS TO THINK THAT NOW IS THE RIGHT TIME TO WAKE UP FROM HIS NAP. I ONLY SEEM TO GET THE CHANCE TO PLAY WHEN HALLAM'S HOME SO WE CAN BOTH SHARE OUT THE BABY DUTY AS HE'S AN XBOX GAMER TOO. 

I FOUND MYSELF RECENTLY BACK ON TWITCH, WATCHING THE WITCHER 3, A GAME THAT TOOK UP MOST OF MY XBOX TIME BACK IN 2015 BEFORE I FELL PREGNANT, A STREAMER WHO I SEEM TO FIND MYSELF GOING BACK TO IS GRUMBUL, WHOS BASED IN THE UK AND OFFERS REWARDS JUST BY INTERACTING AND SPENDING TIME IN HIS STREAM.

IF YOU HAVEN'T HEARD OF THE WITCHER IT'S A DARK FANTASY, OPEN WORLD, ROLE PLAYING GAME WHICH WAS DEVELOPED MY CD PROJEKT RED, THE WITCHER 3 IS THE THIRD GAME IN THE WITCHER FRANCHISE PRECEDED BY THE WITCHER AND THE WITCHER 2 - THE ASSASSINS OF KINGS WHICH ARE BOTH BASED ON NOVELS BY A POLISH AUTHOR - ANDRZEJ SAPKOWSKI.

YOU PLAY AS GERALT, THE KING OF RIVIA WHO IS A MONSTER HUNTER WHO'S STORY HAS BEEN SET OUT BY THE PREVIOUS GAMES - I'VE NEVER PLAYED ANY OF THE PREVIOUS GAMES AND I FEEL LIKE YOU DON'T HAVE TOO AS THE STORY STILL SEEMS TO MAKE SENSE BUT I SUPPOSE IT'S NICE TO HAVE A BACK STORY OF GERALT. I WONT GO INTO DETAIL ABOUT THE STORY HAS MOST OF IT CONTAINS SPOILERS SO IF YOU WANT TO FIND OUT MORE THEN YOU'LL HAVE TO DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK. 

THE WITCHER 3 FEATURES GWENT - A CARD GAME WHICH ENTITLES YOU TO PLAY AGAINST CHARACTERS IN THE GAME AND WIN THEIR CARDS, YOU CAN ALSO BUY CARDS FROM MERCHANTS. THIS HAS TO BE THE BEST THING I LIKE ABOUT THE WITCHER 3, THERE'S SOMETHING ABOUT PLAYING GWENT WHICH IS VERY THERAPEUTIC ABOUT PLAYING GWENT. 

NOW THAT XBOX ONE HAVE INTRODUCED THE BACKWARDS COMPATIBILITY FEATURE THEY HAVE RELEASED THE WITCHER 2 WHICH WAS AVAILABLE ON XBOX 360. I WILL DEFINITELY BE PURCHASING THIS ONCE I'VE FINISHED THE WITCHER 3.

WHILST I WAS SCROLLING THROUGH THE XBOX STORE I CAME ACROSS ADD ONS FOR THE WITCHER 3 WHICH INCLUDED, DIFFERENT COSTUMES FOR THE MAIN CHARACTERS AND EVEN SOME NEW QUESTS WHICH IM LOOKING FORWARD TO COMPLETING. AS WELL AS NEW GEAR AND QUESTS THE EXPANSION PACK HEART OF STONE HAS BEEN RELEASED WITH BLOOD AND WINE TO ROLL OUT SOON.

UPDATE : I'M BACK

Hey Everyone, 

So in the new year I made a promise to make sure I started blogging more often when I went on maternity leave, well that kind of went out of the window as my baby came earlier than I expected - 3 weeks earlier to be precise.

Baby Caleb decided to make an appearance on the 16/02 just under a month from his due date. The past almost 6 weeks have been so challenging but it's also been the best. I wont go into my birth story now and how Caleb is getting on as he now has his own section named ' Caleb's Corner' so keep checking on there for my birth story, his achievements and all the adventures he gets up too.

I feel like now is the time to step away from the more 'beauty' side of the blogging world now and focus more on lifestyle and motherhood - although i'm sure the odd make-up and OOTD posts will still creep in from time to time.

With my partner still working pretty much all day everyday I imagine blogging with a needy newborn is quite hard so I will try my best to try and keep to some sort of schedule. I will however be taking some time to resign my blog and make sure all my social media links are up to date.

So whilst I take some time to revamp my blog and get to term with motherhood and keeping a newborn alive I hope you are all have a lovely easter and I will speak to you guys soon.

Candy Cane Lane smells as if you were making a gingerbread house american style, bursting with the fragrance of peppermint, cookies and vanilla. This is definitely one to melt on a winter's afternoon
Christmas Cookies smells very sweet, like vanilla and butter - just like you're making Christmas cookies in fact. I don't think I would buy this in a larger candle as I'm not to fond on the 'sweeter' scents as I find them a bit 'sickly'

Christmas Eve

I LOVE this candle so much I brought the biggest jar possible! Smelling like sugared plum, candied fruits and warm hearth - ehh? this definitely feels a room with it's scent within minutes. I would say this is the most popular yankee candle scent or at least one of them. I would however get either the large jar like I have or the medium one as I feel like the smaller jar or the votives don't give a strong enough scent.

After writing this I think I'm going to light a candle and settle down on the sofa and watch a christmas film with a non alcoholic drink - oh the joys of being pregnant in the drinking season.

Pregnancy | Old Wives Tales

Okay, so today I'm going to give you a list of Old Wives Tales which ended up becoming true for me. At my latest ultrasound we discovered that we are having a little boy, although the sonographer couldn't be a 100% sure but for now we're sticking with a boy until we hopefully find out for definate at a 4D scan.

Shape of belly.

 If you are carrying low with a smaller belly that sticks straight out, it’s a boy.  

Acne 

If your skin clears up whilst pregnant it's a boy

Cravings

If you crave salty foods, crisps it's a boy 

Legs 

If your legs get bigger it's a boy - i feel like all the weight I've put on has gone to my thighs

Chinese Gender Chart

This is based on the age of the mother at conception and the month she conceived - mine indicated at a boy

Dream of sex of baby

Apparently when you dream about the sex of a baby you have the opposite. I had a dream I had a little girl - so there's another point for team blue.

Morning sickness

No morning sickness equals a boy - lucky me 

Headaches

If you get an increase in headaches, it's a boy

So these are the old wives tales that ended up being true for my pregnancy, now I'm not suggesting that these tales are 100% true, if they mean anything or if they are just a load of nonsense

Pregnancy | 21 week update

Your baby now looks very much like it will look at birth, only smaller. 

How far along: 21 weeks

Days until due date: 133 

My bump: is starting to look more like a bump and not a bloated look. I still have no sign of stretch marks around my bump. It's also starting to become more firm.

Weight changes: I lost a load of weight during the first trimester. I'm now 9st 2lb

Stretch marks? boobs and legs

Cravings: I don't really have any, just an increased appetite 

Sleep: insomnia is slowly starting to kick in, but I don't think my body clock is used to the clocks changing back 

Symptoms: slight back ache

Best moment this week: finding out the sex of our baby and turning 21

Worst moment this week: none

Miss anything? not really

Maternity clothes: loving my maternity tops for new look - they're so comfy

Movement: slight butterfly feeling which will soon start to feel like ripples - hopefully

Gender: it's a boy

Belly button in/out: in, but starting to pop out

Rings on/off: rings are still on but my engagement ring is now slightly loose 

Mood: tired pretty much all the time, emotional, getting moody but happy - i think i'm going through all the emotions this week.

Looking forward to: decorating the nursery.
